Why do I lock the doors when we go out to play? While outside with my youngest child, CJ, and a toddler i was babysitting today, I went to go get a drink. Realizing the backdoor had somehow managed to get locked, I quickly walked to the front door with toddler on my hip. It was locked too. Great, I was locked outside with two boys wearing diapers and would soon need to pick Abigail up from kindergarten.
My mind began going over every possible way into our house. Two windows were open, but one was too high to reach and the other I couldn't fit through. I went to the smaller window with screwdriver in hand, prying it up managed to bend it enough to pull it off. Next came the fun part (rolling my eyes). Convincing CJ (pictured above) that Mommy had an important job for him, I got him to the window and told him he was going to go through the window. I lifted him up and proceeded to shove him through the window at which point he decided he didn't want to go through the window. Having no choice, I shoved him through and told him to open the door for me. Apparently being shoved through the window was too traumatic for him, so he cried and refused to let me in. After about 5 minutes of pleading and knocking, he finally let me in.
I'm never locking the doors again unless we will be away from the house for a while and I have keys.
Never give your child that much power. He could make you wait outside the entire day.

S'mores and squito bites
My husband is visiting a friend out of state this weekend, so it's just me and the kids. The first day was rough, but since then it's been good. At night, though, the kids miss daddy. We wanted to makes s'mores last night, so after I started the fire I thought the bugs wouldn't be biting us as much. They did all the more and I found 4 empty cans of bug spray, so we all went to bed a little itchy.

I'm back!
I decided to start bloggin again. This one will be about my kiddos. Yes, there are two now. My other blog Fel's fab life will be about other stuff on my mind.
To catch y'all up to speed. Abigail is 5 years old and starts kindergarten in September. CJ is 2 years old and is very energetic, wanting to go to school in September as well. He won't be going to school for a while yet. I'm actually really excited to go school shopping with Abigail. She's going to be going to all day kindergarten for 5 days a week. My husband doesn't like that, but I think she's going to love it and is definately ready.
