This morning Abigail had her one month checkup with Dr. Bob.
She is definitely healthy, weighing a whopping 9lbs 5oz now. That's more than 3lbs over her birthweight. Her length is 20" and her head is 14 1/2 cm around. He was talking about being able to skip a feeding during the night now and said that I don't have to set my alarm now. I thought, "People set their alarms for feedings and their babies sleep more than 3 hours at a time? Not my baby. Alarm? I feed on demand."
Dr. Bob said that it's okay if I let her sleep 10 hours one night, but not all the time.
Abigail has not yet slept for more than 3 hours at a time. Dr. Bob is a goofy guy and told me that Abigail is part of his "Super Secret Club," so she should be able to get in to see him whenever she wants. He also gave me the names of good doctors who have worked with children alot and the name of one doctor that I should avoid bringing Abigail to if at all possible.

One month old
Abigail is one month old today and she looks like it, too.
She has baby acne and the past couple nights at around the same time, she justs cries and cries and we can't do anything to get her to stop. I think she's colic.
Last week Tuesday, she weighed a whole 7lbs 14 oz, still not up to what my birth weight was. I think she's possibly a pound heavier and a couple inches longer now.
Yesterday I noticed her making more cooing noises. She's so cute! I must put more pictures of her on here, but I haven't yet found the time.

Baby's first week at home
We brought Abigail home from the hospital last Saturday and I cannot believe how fast that week has gone. The first couple nights, my husband and I got very little sleep and would get out of bed to check on her with every noise she made. Now, we've got some kind of routine down.
Here's how it goes:
I feed Abigail and go to bed
Daddy(my husband) plays with her, changes her, etc. until she gets hungry
I feed her and my husband goes to bed
Abigail falls asleep then I go to sleep
Until around 4am, I take care of Abigail and then sleep when she sleeps.
Then she sleeps in our bed(I know, bad habit to start, but she sleeps so well).
When I get up, I try to get myself ready and whatever else I can get done, while Daddy takes care of Abigail. Then I feed her.
If it isn't obvious already, I breastfeed my baby. I love how convenient it is, but until I start pumping, my husband won't be able to help.
